Two versions of the same rhythmic material sounding completely different.
Having composed 'Tune' (a seventy one minute solo melodic line) and 'Harmony' (a sixty two minute chord progression), I thought 'Rhythm' was required to complete the set.
'Rhythm' was originally written as a set of instructions for an improvisation using all eight Bs on a piano.
A little later I decided to write a fully notated score for piano (eight hands), still using all the available Bs only. This version is here presented as Part One. Part Two uses the same rhythmic structure but is played roughly twice as fast, and this version is performed by a drum machine.
