Music composed of six lines of music, playable on six pianos, with an aleatory element.
'Experimental Music for Dr. Zack' was composed in the autumn of 2013.
The piece is made of six lines of music, playable on six pianos.
I recorded each part independently and then created the music by placing them in the recording.
In this way I could move them about and repeat them etc. or over layer them.
Only after 34 minutes do they all play together exactly as written.
This method produces a more random aleatoric music.
The piece is dedicated to the philosopher Naomi Zack.
