Music for solo piano composed between 1986 and 2016
‘Donadoni, Running at Defenders’, is dedicated to the Italian midfielder Roberto Donadoni who was part of the Italian squad in the 1990 world cup.
Tracks 4, 5, and 6 were first performed by Helen Ottaway under the collective title 'Three Pages from a Diary' and are dedicated to Rosanna D'Urso.
'A Little French' was composed in the late '80s or early 1990s and is dedicated to a friend from Paris, Cécile Alizon.
'Romatic Lullaby' was composed in 2011 and is dedicated to my wife, Paola Paoletti.
'Piove Gatti e Cani' was composed in the mid-1990s and is dedicated to Francesca Bregoli.
The three 'Cauliflower Cheese' pieces were written in 1986 and are some of the earliest works I still acknowledge. They were performed (with amplification) in a Royal Academy of Music concert by the Canadian pianist Birgit Rohowsky.
'The Mermaid of Punta Ala' was composed in the summer of 2016 and is dedicated to Michela Buracchi.
